Documentation Proposal: We need a Howto web
Motivation
We need better doc. Many of us have written howtos. A Howto web would be a good place to put them.
Description
Relatively concise how to documents. Target audience can be anyone, although tagging or categorising should be used to help focus the topics.

I'm with you about that we need better HowTos and an easier way to find relevant infos, but creating yet another place (Web) where to look will not help. Better to provide a clean
TWikiApplication that can be packaged as e.g.
HowToContrib (compare
TipsContrib).

Actually the proposal can be distilled to "We need a way to group HowTo's to
easily find them". Codev and TWiki have a very low signal to noise ratio to be useful.

Maybe what we need are "virtual" webs.
(whatever they may be ....)

Grouping HowTos is what I started with CategoryCookbook. Though the issue that a separate web solves is how to constrain the search.
Hmmm. You could do a "search this category" box.

"Virtual webs" as in "Webs formed by a Search"?

Rafael brings up the right question, "we need a way to group HowTo's to
easily find them". Here is how it is currently organized:
All three are located in the TWiki web.
So, please help organize the
SupplementalDocuments if you want to help make it easier to find how-to content easier.
