TOC Variable Development

• If multiple identical headings exist in a topic, you can only jump to the first of them. See TocFailsForIdenticalHeadingNames.

• Automatic numbering of headings. See AutomaticallyNumberedHeadings, TWikiForBookAuthoring, and MotorolaExtensionsToTWiki.

• Extending the TOC to work across multiple topics. See TWikiForBookAuthoring and MotorolaExtensionsToTWiki. (A current workaround is to use the %INCLUDE% feature.)
  • can anyone explain this workaround? i'm having problems including toc's in another topic; eg, see TestTopicTableOfContents and TestTopicIncludedTableOfContents (which will give a server error, so look at http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Sandbox/TestTopicIncludedTableOfContents?raw=1 instead)

FYI, I've done some more work on the MotorolaExtensionsToTWiki to get it "plug-in ready"; including modularisation of re-usable parts and a full test suite. I was anticipating releasing this new version to the community when the current TWiki release has settled.
