Good idea. How about tracking the number of Google-Search-Results for twiki (2,300,000 on Google right now) or other TWiki-specific URLs. (Problem: most installations will be behind a firewall ...)

Yesterday, I played around with WebPermissionsPlugin when suddenly the IT-department appeared and said it had received tens of requests for TWiki-Access-problems. It was not until then, that I realized how much wiki-usage even a friday-evening provides in our company.
