Change reporting period

How hard would it be to change WebStatistics reporting so that it totals the last xx days rather then since the beginning of the month?

I find the statistics don't really reflect the true state of a web's user activities until after the 15th or so.

Another alternative would be to summarize the last xxx changes. This would mean a web which is only periodically active wouldn't get zeroed out in a dry month.
