The idea here is to have a topic page in a TWiki that would list "noise words" - words which LOOK like WikiTerms but which aren't (or at least shouldn't be). The parser would treat words in this list as regular words rather than WikiTerms.

The page would be seeded with a list of common words which shouldnt be WikiTerms, such as McDonalds, and could be extended/modified by the communities of various twikis as needed.

Potential extentions into the rest of TWiki include:

• A check-box in the editor - for new topics only - to let someone indicate that the term was a noise word and should be treated as such rather than created as a topic

• Code in the new-user-registration to recognize last names which look like wiki terms - i.e. "if the last-name field is a WikiTerm add it to the noise-list"
