Midnight Commander - http://www.MidnightCommander.org - is a clone of famous Commander from MS DOS days, time-proven file manager which is intuitive and visual without being GUI (and no GUI heavy footprint). IMO must-have for newbie linux admins with Windows backround. Runs as pure text application in terminal window, even is secure shell.
