[00:13:39] <SteffenPoulsen> Drusilla: Regarding http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Codev/JoyOfTech I think it would be best if you made the image your own copyright and were explicit about the origin and permissions granted/liberted (to avoid issues with copyright holder of original artwork)
[00:15:04] <Drusilla> I can't copyright it myself. That's a copyright violation!
[00:17:43] <SteffenPoulsen> I was just thinking about the diff between what is uploaded to twiki.org and the original; I don't know who has copyright of that - but I expect that it is not joyoftech holding it?
[00:18:23] <Drusilla> Not a clue. But it sure isn't mine.
[00:20:43] <Drusilla> AFAICT, it's a derivative work, but it gives credit to the original creator.
[00:22:51] <SteffenPoulsen> OK, perhaps it is more obvious to others what rights go where, in that case there are no problems. I'm just very biased against material of undefined copyright at twiki.org, it doesn't belong there
[00:23:31] <Drusilla> Since there's only a minor change in the text, it seems that the original copyright holders continue to hold the rights, and they are properly credited.
[00:25:38] <SteffenPoulsen> cool, I will add these few lines to the topic so it is explicit that we considered copyright
(Original at

).

I respect the artwork but
the message is lowest troll level, the original and the derivation. Put it on your own site, Meredith. It only
fires back on you. Just to remind you: open source is about reputation and you are doing best in flushing yours down the drain.

Jeez, talk about humour-impaired people. One hurts one's reputation far more by being deadly serious and denying flaws than by laughing at yourself. That's true of both people, products, and companies.
And if one must be serious, TWiki
can be very painful to install and to run; that's why we're working on improving that.
And, yes, Peter, many of us are aware that your posts don't reflect the opinion of the
TWikiCommunity at large. None of ours do. At most, our opinions reflect those of the people we have worked with directly.
Lighten up, people! They're
Klingons, for heaven's sake.

SSSSS ... twiki is hard to install.
Seriously, is TWiki so hard to install??? Compare it to other software.
I get the strong feeling that everybody out there starts to believe that
TWiki is hard to install just because this has been said so without even touching it. I found
WordPress harder to install. But its reputation is not so. TWiki, you
are about to loose something that you cannot win back easily even if we fix the technical part. So let's stop
SelfFUDDING
.
Btw Klingons are mega out. Here's my contribution to
TWikiHumor.
