• Context:
  • In the past we used to have weekly meetings, alternating between these release meetings and marketing meetings
  • We are in not too bad shape to welcome evaluators visiting twiki.org (there are always ways to improve), what we neglected is to reach out
  • DavidAllen expresses interest in driving marketing
• Questions:
  • How can we generate more buzz around twiki?
  • What are the favorable initial target markets?
  • How can we get more people participate?
  • What are the metrics to measure success?
• Ideas:
  • Floss Weekly interview
  • Connect with Perl guru RandalSchwartz
  • Promote ad-hoc app feature capability of TWiki
  • Better user experience, especially when writing TWiki apps with TWikiVariables
  • TWiki.org is slow, should be max 1 sec response time
  • Position TWiki as strong in enterprise wiki + web app platform
  • The TWikiAppInstaller and app repository is a good place to create marketing buzz
  • TWiki Application showcase
  • An easy way to distribute / deploy TWiki Applications, especially if it is easy for non-technical users
  • Contest to encourage participation
  • "Featured application of the week / month" or something similar to keep the content fresh

  • We have neglected connecting with other orgs, e.g. news sites, bloggers, analysts

  • Monthly downloads
