Hotfix (Service Pack)
A hotfix is code (sometimes called a patch) that fixes a bug in a product. Users of the products may be notified by e-mail or obtain information about current hotfixes at a software vendor's Web site and download the hotfixes they wish to apply. Multiple hotfixes are sometimes rolled up to create a combined package, often called a
service pack.
TWiki introduced hotfixes since the TWiki 4.0.4 release. The TWiki hotfixes are accumulated, that is the latest hotfix contains all previous hotfixes of a TWiki patch release.

Hi, I just have a small question about hotfixes.
Is there any visual indication inside TWiki, like the TWiki-6.1.1-branch, Sun, 02 Jul 2023, build 31079 variable?
It would be nice to be able to see what hotfixes have been installed.
Otherwise, I have to say that Dakar is a HUGE leap forward over Cairo.
Ive been using TWiki since 2004. I tried so many other wiki's before coming across TWiki while googling. Congratualations to everyone on the hard work.

Good point, there is no visual indication besides looking at the updated files. Hotfixes should possibly also patch the $TWiki::VERSION, or better yet, TWiki should introduce a $TWiki::HOTFIX variable. See
Bugs:Item2840
