Minutes of Georgetown Release Meeting, 2008-09-01
TOC and Agenda
Logistics, Participants, IRC log
1. Review Urgent Bugs
Discussed Item5926. Root cause is known. Kenneth to email Richard D for advice.
2. Feature requests for Georgetown Release
- Desired outcome: Discuss and decide on pending feature request that need attention
- See TWikiFeatureProposals
Noone had any proposals they wanted discussed.
3. Governance
Kenneth want to annouce that Kenneth has created a
TWikiGovernanceConsolidated that tried to join the
TWikiGovernanceProposal1 proposal and the
TaskTeamGovernance proposals into one. Kenneth and Peter talked on the phone during the weekend and Kenneth and Crawford talked also during the weekend for 2 hours. Kenneth encouraged Crawford to heavily refactor the
TWikiGovernanceConsolidated instead of discussing it. This has now happened. We encourage other to continue.
The goal is that we meet Thursday at the Summit with a lot more in common than what separate us and have the important questions defined so we can discuss them one by one.
4 Chit-chat
We are now 16 participants for the Summit. The largest number ever.
Kenneth reminds that he needs all names and the companies they represent (if any) for our reception. You also need to bring a picture ID to ID yourself at the reception. You cannot show up unannounced. Kenneth needs to know your name no later than Wednesday morning the 03 Sep 2008. If you are not sure still add your name. It is better to cancel last minute than say you come last minute and we all respect that urgent issues can come up.
quote from Kenneth
[22:30] <Lavr> The TWO things we have to get out of the Summit is - significant progress on Governance
[22:30] <Lavr> AND an updated RoapMap with more specific details
[22:30] <Lavr> But equally important is to.....
[22:31] <Lavr> ... have fun together
[22:31] <Lavr> ... get ideas from each other
The Summit topic is
TWikiCommunitySummitBerlin2008Q3.
During the Summit we will open an IRC channel and people will be able to follow the parts they wish via a conference bridge (phone numbers given on IRC channel)
