1. Review Previous Action Items

• Antonio Terceiro: Facilitate that translators are notified so we can get translations done ASAP
• Skin experts. Give Thomas final feedback on TemplatePathBuginTWiki4x00 so he can finish the docs
• Harald. Perl code for renaming is changed so that renaming and creation changes first letter to uppercase (ref Bugs:Item3270)
• Skin/Javascripts changed so initial letter for renaming and creation changes first letter to uppercase.

• Harald will give Bugs:Item2837 a try. (he could need a hint)
• Kenneth will add a few lines of doc in INSTALL.html to close Bugs:Item3153
• Arthur: Try making a workaround for Item2930 Printing truncates tables in FF only.

• All: Sqash bugs until 17th Dec 17:00 UTC.
• Kenneth: Build rc1 late evening the 17th. Please make sure you do not break build scripts. And make sure MANIFESTS are up to date.

2. Review Bug Fix Status of TWiki 4.1

• Desired outcome: Decide which non-blocking bugs should be fixed

• Bugs:Item3314 Let redirectto read template parameter. Agreed to change to Normal
• Bugs:Item3261 Literal search on all webs does not work. Peter will try and fix
• Bugs:Item3370 Release note for 4.1
  • Kenneth finishes the release note
  • Peter adds a contribution list on TwikiHistory and updates AUTHORS file.
• Bugs:Item3371 Walkthrough of all default plugins to ensure latest version of default plugins are on TWiki.org. Kenneth will start this.
• Bugs:Item2553 Generic doc work for TWiki 4.1.0. Will be kept open until release but doc situation is pretty OK.

• Currently 79 Normal/Low bugs including extensions. remaining bugs should be fixed only if low risk in code but please try and close some more of the normal bugs.

• Bugs:Item3307: Change link from reference manual to TWiki.WebHome. Kenneth will do.

Top candidates of normal bugs items compiled by Kenneth and Peter. If people have time to fix bugs these are good choice. And some may already be resolved.

• Bugs:Item3048 - Character entities not escaped in Raw View - try maybe to find a workaround. I would not try to recode CGI but maybe there is another workaround.
• Bugs:Item3341 - invalid Date: header in mailnotify - fix seems ready to integrate
• Bugs:Item3367 - EditTablePlugin ignores valid table syntax - I (Kenneth) think normal users will see this and it could be an easy thing to fix
• Bugs:Item3364 - Force-update of Main web statistics updates all webs - Been wondering about this one myself (Kenneth)
• Bugs:Item3314 - Let redirectto read template parameter
• Bugs:Item3362 - Update doc topics that have forms - Maybe this is in reality already complete or 99% complete? Arthur is actioning.
• Bugs:Item2552 - I18N: Translation updates for 4.1.0 - Is already in progress of being actioned
• Bugs:Item3352 - Wrong title text for button in PatternSkin - Isn't the proposed string already in po files? - no, there is no existing string that can be used.
• Bugs:Item3212 - Rcs Lite can't recover from damaged version histories - would be nice to have fixed
• Bugs:Item3307 - Already mentioned above - Kenneth actions
• Bugs:Item3105 - Usability: Missleading "Invalid Activation Code" error message
• Bugs:Item3295 - Passing type=regex does not produce a regex search in WebSearchAdvanced - Should be investigated. Usability.
• Bugs:Item3053 - ChangePassword mistakenly says you need to close the browser
• Bugs:Item2985 - SEARCH summary eats escaped ... links
• Bugs:Item2650 - TWikiForms checkbox values not stored in proper order - usability impact (Fixed, TW)
• Bugs:Item3234 - PatternSkin minor CSS changes. Arthur - Is this already done?
• Bugs:Item3039 - Better printing of tables and verbatim text in PatternSkin. Can we close it? Testing shows we can. Done

3. TWiki 4.1 Release Coordination

• Desired outcome: Decide on release date; assign tasks of ProductionReleaseChecklist

• Release date has been defines as 14th of January 2006.
• KennethLavrsen builds the release.
• Next release meeting will be short status meeting Monday the 8th January 2006 - 21:00 UTC on Freenode #twiki_edinburgh

I am sorry, but I did not understand why the second past action item above was checked off -- nobody has given any feedback so I am still not sure how to document...
