As a consequence of
FileSystemNameClash, I like one impact of Win32's braindead filesystem.
When I use a Wiki, I don't want to try to remember the author's sometimes bizzare capitalisations to make a
WikiWord. Instead It would be nice just to need to make a
WikiWord with the same spelling and have that link to the existing topic. As a further optimsation, on Submit/Preview the twiki could change the capitalisation to the correct one, but this is less important than helping a iser get to where then want to go.
This would mean that we could link here using
DontusecasetofindwikiTopics, and if a user types in a url then
http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/codev/dontusecasetofindwikitopics
should also work.

I agree, this would be a good change to make.

Excellent idea. Also much easier to spell by phone. And most other URLs are lowercase, so mixing cases in Twiki comes as surprise (don't make me think!) to newbies.

This was one of the primary reasons I made the
GoIsSearch FeatureEnhancementRequest. The idea is that the go box should be case
and whitespace insensitive.
