It would be very useful to have some management tools to handle some common wikimaster duties:
- I'd like to be able to Rename a topic to another existing topicname (when there are duplicates) i'd be resonsible for not loosing any content..

I agree, that is definitely needed. Needs to be designed carefully. A user group needs to be created as well ( Admin, Power, Entryuser ? )
It has been discussed a while ago in the
WikiForum, see
http://c2.com/w2/wiki/WikiForumAdministrationFeatures
BTW, the
?cmd= parameter is an undocumented feature that is handy to have. But is probably better to offer as new features for users with Admin rights.

In addition to administrative groups (Admin, Power, etc.), I would like to see user-defined groups. For instance, I could have one web that everyone could view and edit, another web that everyone could view but only a select group could edit, and another web that only a certain group could even view.

Check out the topic
HostileUsers for a discussion about this.
I posted a potential workaround involving setting up partitioned TWikis using the authentication services provided by apache. See
BetterFileLocking for details.

I'm just confirming
RobertWithrow's experience -- I get redirected to an oops page and my revisions aren't backed out.

I removed some of the above comments because they were not correct. Please read the last part of the TWiki.cfg file, it tells you how to roll back a topic revision.

But it does not quite work with attachements. The body of the page is rolled back (and its metadata), but not the attached files.

A good point. But, the attachments you see will be the correct ones (an old topic refers to attachments by revision number), but the more recent attachments in history will still be present.
