Lawfare: Achieving military objectives through the rule of law
Under the auspices of my foundation, the
International Assessment and Strategy Center I am planning to launch a website that features all American lawsuits involving international rogues, outlaws, dictators and terrorists, as a reference for the benefit of journalsts, academics, and policymakers interested in this topic. The site will hopefully bridge the chasm that exists between the human rights and counterterrorism communities. I am using this wiki as a dry run, in hopes of adding information to what I have already collected. I can say from experience that people involved in counterterrorism (I used to run the Department of Justice's terrorist financing enforcement program) have little acquaintance with private lawyers pushing these cases, and vice-versa. Hopefully, this will change, and collaboration on plans of attack against enemies of Western civilization will be the norm rather than the exception. f this is one the consequence of this wike and the ultimate website, I will view my efforts as successful.
