Word In A Browser

Word In A Browser is a useful term for describing a mode of interaction for Javascript WYSIWYG editors in TWiki. A WordInABrowser integration of a WYSIWYG editor is one where the WYSIWYG editor takes over the whole screen, and tries to present the whole TWiki page in one go for editing. It contrasts with a more AjaxLike mode, where the WYSIWYG editor is only used to edit a small section of the topic, and the interaction happens from the TWiki view screen (it doesn't require such an obvious screen-switch to "edit mode").

The KupuContrib and TinyMCEContrib are examples of WordInABrowser editor integrations.
