Cocoa Wiki Editor Discussion

The place to discuss the CocoaWikiEditor.

Pedro, definitely not crazy. I wish we had this for Windows right now. I would put my vote for using xmlrpc over SOAP just for simplicity.

I also think the twiki group should be comparing notes with other wiki systems to see if/how they are planning on doing similar things. I would hope the larger wiki community could put together a simple xmlrpc or soap api for wiki editing that could be used across implementations.

These articles over at xmlrpc.com describe a similar framework for using editor-of-choise:

The one cool thing about XML-RPC is that it'd be a fairly simple job to create proof-of-concept plugins/scripts/whatchamacallem for many of the common un*x-editors (for starters..). Heck, they could all use one and the same perlhack for piping the edit-buffer into. wink

I assume that this have already been up for discussion somewhere on Codev in some non-cocoa specific topic ... but I'm yet to find it.

The best topic for now that I can find is WikiRpcInterface. They seem to have it working with another Wiki, JspWiki.
