Subject: JerusalemMeetingLog2013x05x09.txt Date: May 12, 2013 12:33:30 AM PDT [3:02pm]  HideyoImazu joined the chat room. [3:02pm] HideyoImazu: hi Peter [3:02pm] PeterThoeny: hi HideyoImazu-san [3:03pm] PeterThoeny: server is not yet back [3:03pm] PeterThoeny: have you seen the e-mail i sent to twiki-dev? [3:03pm] HideyoImazu: I've just read. [3:04pm] PeterThoeny: i first suspected a dos attack (there was heavy traffic from a chinese ip) [3:04pm] PeterThoeny: but now it looks like a raid failure [3:04pm] PeterThoeny: two hours ago the iso said 50/50 chance that the server is back by the time of our meeting [3:04pm] HideyoImazu: ooh [3:04pm] PeterThoeny: but it looks like it is the other 50 [3:05pm] PeterThoeny: so no sense to hold the meeting now [3:05pm] PeterThoeny: sorry to get you out of bed so early for nothing! [3:05pm] HideyoImazu: ok [3:05pm] HideyoImazu: see you in a week! [3:05pm] PeterThoeny: do you have anything you'd like to discuss? [3:05pm] PeterThoeny: 1-on-1 ? [3:06pm] PeterThoeny: for me the server downtime is bad timing too [3:07pm] PeterThoeny: i am looking for additional consulting work [3:07pm] PeterThoeny: for this i updated my consulting page on twiki.org [3:08pm] HideyoImazu: understood [3:08pm] PeterThoeny: and just before the server went down i sent out emails to business contacts with the link to a page that does not load [3:08pm] PeterThoeny: does not look professional [3:08pm] PeterThoeny: murphy's law i guess [3:09pm] HideyoImazu: yeah [3:09pm] HideyoImazu: have you tried out AutoSectionsPlugin ? [3:09pm] PeterThoeny: once up, could you look at my consulting page and if you have send me feedback how to improve to look professional so that i get more consulting biz? [3:09pm] PeterThoeny: no, not yet [3:10pm] HideyoImazu: will do. [3:10pm] PeterThoeny: what was the reason to create this plugin and not use the other plugin? [3:10pm] HideyoImazu: MultiEditPlugin works but not very convenient [3:10pm] PeterThoeny: it might be good to state the reason/differences in the plugin docs [3:11pm] HideyoImazu: sure [3:11pm] HideyoImazu: i'll have Mahiro do that later [3:11pm] PeterThoeny: does this work with wysiwyg too? [3:11pm] HideyoImazu: to begin with, with MultiEditPlugin, you need to enter
and
[3:12pm] PeterThoeny: no need to explain here, best if mahiro-san documents this, so that others and me can read [3:12pm] HideyoImazu: sure [3:13pm] PeterThoeny: ideally the wysiwyg/raw editor would work the same like when editing the whole page, e.g. aware of the EDITMETHOD setting [3:13pm] HideyoImazu: if you have time, please try installing it and using it with a long page [3:13pm] PeterThoeny: ok, i'll do [3:13pm] PeterThoeny: i like user-friendly stuff [3:14pm] HideyoImazu: i'm asking mahiro to enhance a bit, before roll it out in our environment. [3:15pm] HideyoImazu: it's still in an early stage, but I honestly think it can be a highlight of the next major release of TWiki. [3:15pm] PeterThoeny: absolutely [3:15pm] PeterThoeny: it is in line with twiki's mission to become more user friendly & accessible to less technical people [3:17pm] HideyoImazu: there are cases where you find a typo or something to correct on a long topic and need to take some time to locate the place to correct after hitting Edit. [3:18pm] HideyoImazu: with the plug-in, the specified section becomes editable while the rest of the page is still shown normally. [3:19pm] HideyoImazu: after saving the section, the cursor stays at that section. [3:22pm] PeterThoeny: makes sense [3:22pm] PeterThoeny: ok, i let you get your coffee [3:36pm]  HideyoImazu left the chat room. (Ping timeout: 245 seconds)
