The LVLUG (Lehigh Valley Linux User Group) meets at a facility that has Windows computers which share a high speed connection to the Internet. At meetings, we have started using Slackware Live to boot the computers into Linux during meetings. This page contains the instructions for setting up Slackware Live at our current meeting site.

Setting Up Slackware Live at LVLUG Meetings
- (Re)start the computer with the Slackware Live CD in the drive
- When you turn on the IBM and it starts to boot from the network, press the <escape> key to boot from the cdrom
- When you get a login prompt, login as root (no password)
- Run
modprobe eepro100
- Run
dhcpcd
- Run
startx
You should be good to go, but recognize you can't save anything unless you bring a floppy disk (or upload something somewhere, like to a TWiki
