simulated burn: A simulated burn of a CD is a test, basically to confirm that the computer is fast enough to deliver data to the CD burner without
buffer underruns. Many CD burning programs include an option to test by doing a simulated burn. In a simulated burn, everything is done just as it would be in a real burn, except the
laser is not turned on. If a buffer underrun is detected the simulated burn test is unsuccessful.
