rawrite: (raw write)
One half of a disk imaging tool — a dos/Windows program that can write the content of a properly formatted file (a bootable image) to a floppy disk so that it is bootable.
raread, a companion program, complements rawrite by reading a floppy disk and saving it as an image.
Among other things, rawrite and raread let you:
- write a Linux bootable disk from dos/Windows
- stockpile different bootdisks on your hard drive
Version 0.7 (by
John Newbigin
) can run on NT, 2K, XP, 95, 98 and ME. (and dos??)
