INTERNET EVENTS
- ARPANET shut down permanently.
- ARPA which had created ARPANET, lived on under new name Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
- Tim Berners-Lee invented an internet feature called the World Wide Web (WWW), creating Web Pages and a unified way to connect these documents by using underlined hyperlinks.
- The first crude browser was to view these documents.
CURRENT EVENTS

- German Reunification after Wall Fell.
- Smoking on Domestic Airplane Flights is Banned.
- The Hubble space telescope is launched into orbit.
