Question

How can I display the weblist as a drop down list box that can be navigated? The delete and move routines within the More Topic Actions group shows webs as a drop down list box so I'm looking for that functionality combined with the ability to link to the WebHome page of the selected web. Have checked out the search cookbook examples (thanks for this - its a great page) and can work out displaying search results from within a single web but can't get my head around doing this for results from multiple webs. I have a feeling this may well need looking at from a different angle. My goal is to be able to use this functionality in the webleftbar.

Environment

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

PS- I've been checking out an alternative approach - the Weblist variable and its example of usage for a drop down list box. Here it is in practice:

Does it need form definitions perhaps to support its operation?

You are on the right track. Here is a working example using WEBLIST:

The same can also be done with a SEARCH:

Fabulous. Thanks Peter. Hope you don't mind but I've added this to the Search Pattern Cookbook

Thanks Sue for being proactive, that is the way to do it.

In order to avoid broken links, make sure to use InterwikiPlugin links to link back to TWiki.org.
