In short:

How to get WebStatistics when view authorization is active?

Long version:

We changed the .htaccess to require login for page views also, as we plan to use the ApprovalPlugin. This plugin requires the .htaccess modification.

Seemingly since then we get no WebStatistics updates anymore. This seems to be logical to me, as the not logged in "guest" user runs the statistics process.

Now the question:

How do I get the statistics process working with the new .htaccess setting? Can I add a username and a password to the call?

Set up a cron job to generate web statistics off-line, as described in TWikiSiteTools.

I checked for the cron entry ... and it was gone! Someone/thing changed that. I am worried. I added that entry again and hope for tomorrow.
