Question
Shortly after having registrerd I get spam to the unique email
addresss I give to TWiki. Is TWiki selling the addresses? Is
there a way you could protect the addresses against scavengers
(like not showing them at all, or in 'obfuscated' format).
Thanks
PS: The spam was from:

Answer
Thank you for reporting this. We are not selling the addresses, I am detesting and fighting spam. In fact we couldn't do that since we have a privacy statement on the download page (
http://twiki.org/download.html
).
It looks like a spambot grabbed your e-mail address from the TWiki.org web site. Hmm, it looks like we need to enhance TWiki to
ObfuscateEmailAddresses to prevent that.

Update: Implemented a spam block mechanism. All addresses have a text added just after the domain name to block spambots. See details in
ObfuscateEmailAddresses.
