Question
I am following the
WindowsInstallCookbook and I am at the section where I need to modify TWiki.cfg. I can not find that file anywhere on my system. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

My main suggestion is;
do not follow that cookbook. It is waaaay out of date if it talks about TWiki.cfg. Use the
IndigoPerlCookbook or, if you are brave enough for pre-release, there are Windows installer packages available for 4.2 from Codev.

I tried using the
IndigoPerlCookbook, but I keep getting stuck at step 14 when it asks to put in the path to the interpreter. None of my files are read only and I am putting the path in correctly, but I keep getting the permission denied error #71. I am a newbie and trying to get my companies first Wiki up. I thought going through all the steps myself would help me have a better understanding of the system, so I was trying to avoid using a pre-packaged install. Does it matter?

An easier way to get started on Windows is to install the virtual machine
TWikiVMDebianStable.

I had followed the Windowsinstallcookbook to some extent and based on my experience with Cairo, I managed to install 4.1.2. I need to re-install it on a good server. Hopefully I will remember what I did and if I am successful, I'll write the new WindowsCookbook for 4.1.2. But you may have to wait for a week or so :-(. By the way, there is no TWiki.cfg in 4.1.2. I read the files
INSTALL.html and
TWikiUpgradeGuide.html and also the old Cookbook which is for Cairo and somehow got the
configure script to work.

I used
TWikiVMDebianStable and it was simple. I am up and running. If you are able to get 4.1.2 installed with the
WindowsInstallCookbook, I would definately be interested in seeing the process. Thank you.
