I want to start with a tiny installantion of Twiki. I'm finding all the default pages installed rather confusing. How do I go about removing everything but the essentials?

TIA

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

You do not need to remove anything, just hide the stuff you do not need. TWiki ships with 3 visible webs: Main (the primary web), TWiki (the TWiki doc web) and Sandbox (to play around). Organize your Main web the way you need.

If you want to hide the TWiki web, set the NOSEARCHALL in the TWiki web's WebPreferences. That will remove it from the web list in the sidebar and from the site map. In return I would copy some essential topics for new users from the TWiki web to the Main web, such as TWikiRegistration, WelcomeGuest, TWikiTutorial and ATasteOfTWiki.
