When I copy and paste the default usersig in the format --%USERSIG{WikiName - Date}% no picture appears. If I edit the string to either exclude "- Date" or include the date after the %Usersig close % I do get a picture.
Can I change the default string that is displayed beneath the edit box so that it excludes or moves the date field?
Example
-- %USERSIG{NeilRoberts - 2015-10-16}% Does not work
-- %USERSIG{NeilRoberts}% Does work
-- %USERSIG{NeilRoberts}% - 2015-10-16 Also works

Discussion and Answer
Do you use the
AutoSectionsPlugin? See
TWikibug:Item7579
: Profile picture not shown in user signature and bubble signature; make user profile pages coexist with AutoSectionsPlugin
If so, upgrade to the latest
AutoSectionsPlugin and
TWikiUserMappingContrib.
Or, first try to upgrade your TWiki.UserReports by copying the raw text from
TWiki06x00.UserReports.

Copying over the contents of
UserReports from twiki.org did the trick. Thanks a lot.

Actually. Everyone who does not have a photo disappeared from the user list so I have had to revert it back. Any idea why that might be?

Ok all sorted now. I installed the updated
TWikiUserMappingContrib and everything is now working correctly including users with no picture.

I am glad this is sorted out. Closing this question now.
