We have a table populated based a form which has a text field which we populate with a date value. If we put dashes in the date: ie yyyy-mm-dd, it will not sort correctly , but without the dashes sort works correctly. Any ideas? (I've looked at other postings on dates and sorts, but our query is different in that it just refers to a sorting question - the fact that the underlying text field holds a date should not matter.

Discussion and Answer
The ISO date
yyyy-mm-dd sorts properly in ASCII order, I use this all the time. So I am wondering why your dates don't sort properly. US format
mm-dd-yyyy does not.
