SID-01677: UsageStatisticsPlugin -- error

Plugin version: 2011-07-10, $Rev:21750 (2011-07-15)

I have added the following line in a random topic on our internal wiki: %USAGESTATISTICS{action="overview"}%

After saving the topic, I get the following error message:

Twiki detected an internal error - please check your Twiki logs and webserver logs for more information.// Operation "eq": no method found// left argument has no overloaded magic,// right argument in overloaded package File::Temp

Would appreciate some feedback on this error and how to make the plugin work.

Our system is under a high-security network which does not have external internet access so all plugins are installed using the manual approach.

What version of CPAN:File::Temp do you have? You need at least 0.18.

Using the %USAGESTATISTICS{action="overview"}% command on a particular topic located in web X, is there a way for me as a non-admin user to display the "User Statistics" table?

I have full rights over the material in the web X but other webs are also hosted on the wiki for which it would be difficult for our system admin to give me admin rights.

Could my system admin "install" the plugin only in web X or something along those lines which would allow me to display the "User Statistics" table without needing to get admin rights over the whole wiki?

Let me know if this isn't clear.

The plugin as designed only shows usage statistics to admins. This is mainly done for privacy reasons. It needs to be enhanced for a more fine grained access control setting. I could help out on a consulting basis. I'll contact you.
