I'm lost. I didn't install the instance of TWiki (latest version). I'm trying to add the top menu drop-downs to the patternskin. However, I'm lost as to how to do this. For some reason topmenu was default as well as patternskin which made patternskin not work. I've commented out topmenu but I can't get the topmenuskin to install when I put it on the skins line in my configuration page.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Discussion and Answer
Could you share what you want to accomplish with PatternSkin + TopMenuSkin? The TopMenuSkin is based on the former.
In a default TWiki-5.x installation you can activate one or the other skin with the SKIN setting in Main.TWikiPreferences.

Aha, I read that. I thought that was the case.
What I'd like to do is have drop-down menus show up as well as left-menu navigation. Are the two mutually exclusive?

Upgrade to the latest
TopMenuSkin, there is a setting to enable the sidebar. See also different approach at
SID-01522.
