SID-00610: Can't Register New Users

I installed Apache and Twiki from the Package Manager in my Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop. When I try to register a user I get:

Error registering new user

Internal error when sending email to charles@fastwavePLEASENOSPAM.biz.

Please contact 0.

You have not been registered.

Everything appeared to install OK, but I just can't get past this email thing. Is there a way to create a user without the email verification??
