Our Enterprise Twiki is located in the Intranet behind our own firewall.
How does the Search Algorithm work here? Are there also made any indexes for search or is everything done real time? is there any rankig done (quantity, inverse) or will everything be listed if it contains the search words (exept i use regexp or any other advanced search)?
This is very important for my university thesis
Thanks for your help!

Discussion and Answer
The TWiki native search uses real time search, e.g. there is no indexing and no ranking. This scales OK up to 50,000 to 100,000 pages or so. If you have more you can install one of the search engines, see
Extensions:search
.
