SID-00517: Mailnotify finds no changes

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 4.3.1 Perl version: 5.8
Category: CategoryAutomation Server OS: RH Last update: 16 years ago

Since we upgraded to GeorgeTown the notification system has not worked. We have a cronjob in place that has not been touched but it does point to the GeorgeTown bin directory. When I run the script from the command line I see that no changes are found in any of the webs

        0 change notifications from BFSP
        0 change notifications from CAE
        0 change notifications from CAE/Internal
        0 change notifications from CDS
        0 change notifications from CERNTR
        0 change notifications from CMS
        0 change notifications from CMS/DCS
        0 change notifications from CNIC
        0 change notifications from CS
etc

Topics are of course changed all the time.

So no emails are sent and Emails are send out for registration though.

The .changes and .mailnotify files have the correct permissions.

What could be wrong?

Discussion and Answer

Hi Peter .. try removing (rather rename so that you can revert) .mailnotify files from Webs (e.g. {TWIKI_ROOT}/data/CMS/.mailnotify)

Removing the .mailnotify files from Webs worked.
