Hi
I intend to install all the features in
NatSkin. So I read through the pre-requisites and found out that
NatSkinPlugin should be installed along with all other dependent plugins.
I installed
NatSkinPlugin (along with all other dependencies) and managed to see a good welcome change.
After that I installed
NatSkin manually by ftp'ing all the required files in correct directories and suddenly my website went crazy ... I now get the following error.
%IFDEFINEDTHEN{"%IFACCESS{"Main.WebHome" type="change"}%" as="1"}% %FIDEFINED% %IFDEFINED{"%METAKEYWORDS%" then="$n"}% %IFDEFINED{"%METAAUTHOR%" glue="off" then=""}% %IFDEFINED{"%METADESCRIPTION%" then=""}% %IFDEFINEDTHEN{"/wiki/pub/Main/WebPreferences/favicon.ico"}% %FIDEFINED% %GETSKINSTYLE% %WEBCOMPONENT{"WebHtmlHead"}%

I can not even go to my preferences and remove the skin. I tried deleting all the files that I added for
NatSkin but it still gives the same problem.
On the bottomleft corner of the browser I get two javascript errors:
1) Line: 37
Char:1
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL:http://wikindian.com/wiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome
2)Line: 26
Char:1
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL:http://wikindian.com/wiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome
Any idea whats going on here? Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Sushil

Did you install all following
TWiki::Plugins::BreadCrumbsPlugin
TWiki::Plugins::FilterPlugin
TWiki::Plugins::FlexWebListPlugin
TWiki::Plugins::GluePlugin
TWiki::Plugins::IfDefinedPlugin
TWiki::Plugins::JQueryPlugin
TWiki::Plugins::NatEditContrib
TWiki::Plugins::RedDotPlugin
TWiki::Plugins::JQueryTwistyPlugin
?
I suggest to verify the installation of all above plugins and restore the removed skin related files...
NatSkin is complicated when it comes for the installation but gives good look and feel.
BTW - if you want to view your content/site with different skin/or before changing the skin of the complete site, you can pass variable e.g. skin=pattern
See
http://wikindian.com/wiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome?skin=pattern
or
http://wikindian.com/wiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome?skin=plain

Discussion and Answer
I restored all the plugins and also cross checked individual files in the plugins.
However, I still get the same problem. This is scary as I have to get it live by this Saturday and didnt know that
NatSkin will start giving problems.
I can view the site by
http://wikindian.com/wiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome?skin=pattern
But I cannot edit it and remove the skin=nat parameter. Because whenever I edit it, it throws following error:
%IFDEFINEDTHEN{"/wiki/pub/Main/WebPreferences/favicon.ico"}% %FIDEFINED% %GETSKINSTYLE% %WEBCOMPONENT{"WebHtmlHead"}%

This is kind of annoying. Any specific step that I am missing here?

you should be passing
?skin=pattern with every URL, add this parameter when you see the above error. you should be able to change the SKIN variable

I was having the same problem, and I solved it by going to the Plugins section of the configure script and making sure that all of the Plugins had a checkmark next to them (even though it said they were enabled already, the box was not checked). After saving the changes
NatSkin worked.
I'm running TWiki 4.3.1 and Perl 5.10.1.
