SID-00217: NewUserPlugin Issue

I am currently running LdapContrib in conjunction with NewUserPlugin to allow LDAP users to log in to Twiki. When a new user logs in, they log in successfully, however a topic does not get created and the following errror appears in the server log:

NewUserPlugin - WARNING: error during save of NewLdapUserTemplate: http://192.168.X.X/twiki/bin/oops/Main/JohnDoe?template=oopsaccessdenied;def=topic_access;param1=in;param2=TWiki::Plugins::NewUserPlugin, referer: http://192.168.X.X/twiki/bin/login/Main/TWikiGroups?origurl=/twiki/bin/view/Main/TWikiGroups

If I edit the web preferences for Main and give the user ALLOWWEBCHANGE permissions ahead of time, the NewUserPlugin works correctly. However, when I add a LDAP security group to ALLOWWEBCHANGE, (which a new user is a member of) the access denied error occurs. I think this may actually stem back to an issue with LdapContrib becasue if I open TwikiGroups, I see all groups from LDAP but no members are shown in any of the groups?

Any input?

I've also found that if I leave ALLOWWEBCHANGE set to nothing, NewUserPlugin works correctly, however I ultimately want to restrict by LDAP group.
