Question

I have

 Set RELEASEEDITLOCKCHECKBOX = checked="checked"
set in my environment and I do see the Release edit lock box checked when I edit a page.

However, two co-workers today have complained that I have a topic locked!

I am guessing that this is because I Previewed my changes to that topic and clicked the Save button from the Preview screen. The Preview screen doesn't show the Release edit lock check box.

So, either Preview's Save ignores the user's preference (most likely) or else "Release edit lock" is broken. I'm hoping the former is the case; it would still be an annoying bug but not nasty.

Please add the checkbox and the recognition of it to the Preview screen (or remove the Save button from that screen; I don't really care which).
