Question

I have this annoying behaviour:

Sometimes after saving a "Topic Save Error" is produced.

e.g. "=/usr/bin/rcs -q -o%REVISION|N% %FILENAME|F% of /usr/local/srv/www/htdocs/twiki/data/Main/BaukastenCEE.txt failed: ="

Nevertheless the topic is changed.

The reason is that somehow the file permission of the .v-File is changed to r-xr-xr-x.

I do not know when and why this happens - there is no .lease file or anything.

Is there anything I can do about that?

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

You should try upgrading to TWikiRelease04x00x03, some additional logic was put in place in this release to handle locked RCS files more gracefully.

Great, it seems to work now.
