Question
Hi there,
This one is a low priority bug report that someone may or may not wish to pursue. I already have a workaround but wanted to report it in case the skin maintainers would like to know.
An undesireable change was recently introduced on the
PatternSkin of
TWikiDotOrg when browsing with
FireFox. This only occurs in
FireFox when the "advanced option" is chosen to
allow text to be selected with the keyboard.
My favorite way to read
TWikiDotOrg was to click on multiple links from
WebNotify, thus popping multiple tabs into a
FireFox browser. Immediately upon page load I would hit
CTRL+END and jump to the bottom of each page and then the
PAGE UP button to appromimately land at the most recent comment.
As someone with repetitive stress injury using a
data hand
keyboard, this minimal series of keystrokes would land me directly at the right place of both long & short twiki pages alike with minimal keyboarding effort.
Recently a change was introduced whereby pressing
PAGE UP from the bottom of the page lands you right back at the top of the page again, thus denying me the information I'm looking for.
My work-around was simply to uncheck the advanced option in
FireFox that will
allow text to be selected with the keyboard. Now the
CTRL+END &
PAGE UP shorcut leads me again quickly to the right spot on each page. But that the work-around is necessary at all indicates that something has changed with the physical delivery of the
PatternSkin to prevent
PAGE UP from working correctly.
