Question

I have a client that un tarred TWiki20040902.tar file over the top of thier live customized twiki directory... Is there any way to recover from this??? How??

Any help would be appreciated.

Answer

The only option seems to be to recover from backup since an untar overwrites also the rcs files. Only a few pages should be affected, namely the TWikiPreferences, WebPreferences, and the settings in the Plugins topics.

Just in case: Those configirations might be available as rendered HTML pages in case your client uses a search engine.
