Question

I am trying to set up a corporate Twiki which is going to be used to gather comments on pre-established and preferably locked content. We have installed the comment plugin, however the documentation states that once you lock a topic from editing, the comment plugin is locked as well. Is there any way to restrict editing content directly in the text but allow the addition of comments through the plugin? (I apologize for the lack of technical specs, but the IT department has taken care of the installation).

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease02Sep2004
TWiki plugins: CommentPlugin
Server OS: ?
Web server: ?
Perl version: ?
Client OS: ?
Web Browser: IE

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

Have a look at HowToDenyEditingAllowCommenting and tell us if this solves your problem.

Yes it does - thanks! I guess I hadn't looked far back enough in the Q&A. Much appreciated...
