Question
- Is it possible to have a topic page locked for editing but still allow users to post document attachments to the topic?
- Answer: No. If a topic is locked by user A, then user B can't attach files to the topic. Reason: When attaching, a reference to the attachment is written to the topic. This can't be done when the topic is locked. So you can't attach if the topic is locked.
- What file formats are supported for hits in searches?
- Answer: Only TXT. I think that only the topic files (*.txt) themselves are searched. There is no "deep search" into attachments as well.
- Attachment filenames and the comments in the attachment table are stored in the topic as meta data so they will be searched.
- Will my search work with strings that are not WikiWords? Can I search and get hits for non-WikiWords?
- Answer: Yes. You can search for any simple text string, and you can do advanced searches and use regex if you like.
- Is it possible to NOT have guest users who can change content on your site?
- Answer: Yes. Simply remove the TWikiGuest account, or change it's password. Then only registered users may edit the site.
THANKS!

For some reason TWikiGuest re-opened this
old question without adding a comment. That was probably a mistake, since
GeneralQuestions12345678 was created at the same time.
I'm closing it again.
P.S. the answers above are obsolete. Attachments can be searched now.
