Question

I am trying to get people who are very used to generate emails and attachments to switch to Twiki - you know it's a bit of habit change.

Now as an intermediate step, is there a way to use Outlook or any email applications to generate a new Twiki page? This means maybe people can by the way copy an email address twiki@company.com which will get Twiki to create a new page for it.

Of course there are more details as to if subsequent emails with the same title get appended into the same page etc. But just want to know if there is a way to do this. I searched Q&A and didn't find a plugin for this. Thanks!

TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin

Look into the MailInContrib.

Mailing into TWiki is possible but it is a double sided sword. It makes it easy to post content into the wiki, but it degardes the wiki into a mailing list archive. A good wiki has lots of refactoring work going on. On the other hand, in certain environments it makes sense to mail into TWiki. For example, if you have a TWiki application for contacts, it make sense to CC email into the person's page in the contacts database.
