Question

Is it possible to dynamically change the WebNotify topic ?

I wrote an application within TWiki that contains topics that users are assigned to. The assignment is done using an HTML form that posts a value back to the page. I store the assigned user in a hidden field within an attached topic form. I then use this field for searching.

I am wondering if it is possible to also make a modification to the WebNotify page dynamically upon HTML form post.

Example User populates form (including 'assigned user' field) and clicks the submit button. The form posts back, updating the attached form field AssignedUser. A note is added to the page using a template and the CommentPlugin. Also, the WebNotify page is modified to add the newly assigned user as a recipient of topic changes.

I have the example above working, but without WebNotify changes.

I searched for a WebNotify Plugin, but to no avail. I would assume that specifying email recipients could be done programmatically someway. And not restricted to manually editing a file.

Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't the SubscribePlugin do exactly that, updating the WebNotify topic accordingly?
