I mean do I only have to unzip

upgrade-4.1.1.zip
in the current TWiki directory

I see know in the doc that I should install from scratch. This isnt altogether clear from the upgrade doc.

After installing I notice that there is a new config variable

LoginNameFilterIn
This is set to a default regular expression and using kerberos authentication I get an error
Illegal format for login name ....does not match ^[^\s\*?~^\$@%`"'&;|<>\x00-\x1f]+$) etc

Is there any doc available for this. If I replace the regular expression with say .*? then I am able to login but the loginname is not mapped to the TWiki name. Is this because I changed LoginNameFilterIn?

I will open another Question for the Login issue.

The answer to my initial question is no. The upgrade.zip file will not install 4.1.1. One has to install from scratch
