Question
I don't know where to ask questions but basically, I cannot get to the configure page. I am running ubuntu server and I thought I saw some folks have issues running in Ubuntu. In bin i don't have a view subdirectory and using 'find' when logged into the server I can't find what someone refered to as TwikiRegistrationCorp.txt. i don;t seem to have that file.
Now when installing all I did was tar the gz file. I didn't run any ./install or anything. I copied and pasted a script for setting permissions but that was about it.
I am not even sure after I wave this if i can get back to this page?? Please email me at jim@great-incentives.c o m if you would.
Thanks

If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.
Sounds like you have been reading some rather dubious documentation.
AFAIK there are no issues running in Ubuntu, though a few people have had typical teething troubles.
There is no 'view' subdirectory, nor is there a TwikiRegistrationCorp.txt in the release (there
is a TWikiRegistration.txt, but it's irrelevant to
configure)
Go to the directory where you unzipped the distribution. cd into the bin directory. That's where
configure is. That directory has to be visible through apache, as described in
TWikiInstallationGuide.
You don't give enough information on what symptoms you see, or what you have tried, or your server config, to be any more helpful.
