Question
Thank you for allowing us to use your system. I have a few questions I could
not find answered on your homepage, which I hope you can help us answer.
We are about to install the system on an existing server running perl5.8
and apache2, which you specifically mention are unpleasent in relation to
the february release. However, the system is to be installed to see whether
our engineers will embrace it and, if so, to be installed on another server
at a later time as a company wide service.
Hence my question: Can you recommend us using a beta version at this point,
as we wait for the next stable to appear before possibly deploying it
company wide, or should we consider other systems?
kind regards, Jan.

Answer
Too bad this topic wasn't replied on earlier... for a newcomer, a quick response would have been helpful. (Yes, anybody could have replied, including myself. So I'm not blaming anyone.)
Jan, as TWiki fans, we won't recommend another system instead

but I suggest that you try to install the latest version and see if it works for you. Likely there will be some problems, and by searching in the Support and Codev webs here, you should be able to find the solutions - or a note that there is no solution yet.
If or when you do encounter an issue, then come back here and ask us. It's a lot easier to give you useful feedback when you have concrete issues. Remember to follow the
SupportGuidelines when you submit questions.

Our Betas are usually quiet stable, at the production level compared to many other projects. Many people do install
TWikiBetaReleases for production use.
