Question

Serveral remote users, who connect via VPN, are reporting that the attachment page fails to upload their attachments. They click the Submit button, but after the browser spins for a while then reports "Done", they are still on the attachment page, and the upload has not occurred. Nothing shows up in the error log. If they re-try a few times, it usually succeeds.

I'm not sure how to debug this one further. Any suggestions?

Answer

I've seen this a few times on apache 1.3.31. I wish I had an answer! It seems to be related to the connection timing out.

This could be a Apache config setting issue. Uploading large docs over VPN take longer and you might hit a limit set in config. Try to increase the Timeout 300 setting.
