Question
All pages ask for login and password, even when they don't have ALLOWWEBVIEW settings. These includes Main Sandbox webs.
When I ask for
http://.../view/Main/WebHome
Twiki redirects to
http://.../viewauth/Main/WebHome
i.e., it always redirect from
view script to
viewauth script. But it is configured like this:
Set DENYWEBVIEW =
Set ALLOWWEBVIEW =
It is the same for all webs, including with or without authentication. I'm using "authenticating and restricting selected webs only" strategy.
I'v rechecked everything.
What could it be?

Answer
If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.
Do you have these lines in TWiki.TWikiPreferences:
* Set USERLAYOUTURL = %PUBURL%/%TWIKIWEB%/PatternSkin/empty.css
* Set USERSTYLEURL = %PUBURL%/%TWIKIWEB%/PatternSkin/empty.css
and the
empty.css file attached to TWiki.PatternSkin?

No, I'm using:
* Set TWIKILAYOUTURL = %PUBURL%/%TWIKIWEB%/PatternSkin/layout.css
* Set TWIKISTYLEURL = %PUBURL%/%TWIKIWEB%/PatternSkin/style.css
Then I added
* Set USERLAYOUTURL = %PUBURL%/%TWIKIWEB%/PatternSkin/empty.css
* Set USERSTYLEURL = %PUBURL%/%TWIKIWEB%/PatternSkin/empty.css
And attached the file, but still doesn't work.
All both file exist and are public.
I'm using
KoalaSkin, and it worked fine at the beggining. But now it always redirect the
view script to
viewauth script
Any other suggestion? Thanks!

This is probably because you have the
SiteMap on the WebHome topics listing one or more view restricted webs. Make sure
not to list webs with view access restrictions in the site map, e.g. set the SITEMAPLIST to an empty value in those web's WebPreferences.
