Thank you Oliver for contributing this plugin! I just discovered it now, there is so much activity in the Plugins web.
Feedback:
- It would be helpful to add a short explanation for what the plugin is used for.
- Please add a SHORTDESCRIPTION, needed by the reports on twiki.org
- How about measuring and documenting the PluginBenchmarks numbers?

This plugin looks intriguing but I don't really understand how it works from the description. Under "exist" mode, how does it know what view template to use? Is it somehow based on a name-correspondance between the topic or form and the view template?

I have also tried to understand what this plugin is doing.
Oliver. You must have spent hours coding this plugin. How about spending another 10 minutes writing the extra 4-6 lines of documentation that makes the rest of us understand what it does and how to use it?

I haven't tried the plugin, but I guess the point is to make it easier to control layout of a topic depending on the Form used in the topic. Switch the form with a new one, and the layout (template) is changed.
So instead of having to set a VIEW_TEMPLATE specifically for each topic with an arbitrary form, it just happens automatically. View a specific section of a topic, and again a special layout (template) is automatically used.
But basically I agree, a bit more doc wouldn't hurt here

This is a great little gem. It often happens that for some reason the
VIEW_TEMPLATE does not get set when someone creates a new topic. This plugin removes the need for looking after that.
