*Attachment Search Engine installation and configuration*

The TWiki for Windows IIS installation uses MicrosoftIndexServer to index the contents of the TWiki site. MicrosoftIndexServer is used in preference to the internal TWiki search as it is able to search for Attachents as well as Topics.

MicrosoftIndexServer is controlled using Microsoft ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) COM objects. These COM objects are embedded in the TWiki Perl script.

*Installation and Configuration Process*

First check that both IIS and IS are installed on the TWiki server. If they are not present then please follow the instructions for InstallingIndexServerAndInternetInformationServer.

When IIS and IS are installed, please complete the following steps.
	1. EnsuringFilesAndDirectoriesAreNotIndexed
	2. ConfigureIS
	3. PerlScriptConfigurationForIss
	4. CreateHTMLSearchFormForIndexServer.
	4. TestTheIndexServerInstallation

More information about the TWikiIndexServerArchitecture is available.
